The flexibility of the internet has become the greatest advantage for online education. Since it's now easier to create websites that include interactive activities, chat rooms, etc students and their professors can interact better. The horizons of students and teachers, have become so much greater and the independence internet affords students is great too.

The Internet has become a major global tool for communication and information sharing. With websites such as CNN.com, MSNBC.com and FOXNews.com, people now get their news from wherever they are. For example, CNN.com reportedly received a huge Election Day audience of 27 million unique visitors to their site. This shows the impact of internet on media and people.

Internet has impacted tourism greatly. Now it's easier to plan a trip with information gathered from internet. Statistics show that 76% of affluent US consumers use internet search engines to obtain travel information in 2004. Thus, countries that advertise their tourist spots on internet are benefited as they could fetch higher revenue from tourism industry.

The impact of the Internet is far greater than any other communicative tool in the history. Internet revolutionized our lives in many ways, socially.

The internet is able to provide medical information for healthcare providers. Furthermore, not only the healthcare providers, patients also are able to access to qualified physicians wherever they may be, due to the removal of geographical restrictions by the internet. These provides the patient with a more knowledgeable diagnosis.
http://www.executivehm.com/article/How-will-the-internet-impact-healthcare/

Besides that, the internet helps students, teachers and even parents, in terms of education. Students are able to find out more information about anything under the sun without the help of their teachers. This way, they learn to gain knowledge themselves. On the other hand, teachers can make their lessons more interesting with the internet-- different learning techniques for the students, or having lessons online.

Lastly, the internet plays an important role for political parties. These political parties uses the media such as cellphones and internet to convey messages to the people, especially youths. Even though it is not the internet that causes people to vote, people who are likely to vote uses internet to search more information and insights about the political parties.

The impact of the Web is certainly undeniable, with the various benefits and convenience it has brought to us that greatly improves our way of life.

1. With globalisation and the ingenius invention of communicating devices such as the internet and telephones, communicating with people on the other side of the globe has been made much simplier and convenient. Social networking sites, such as Facebook and Twitter, has greatly improved our lifes by enabling us to freely contact our friends, family, potential employers and potential customers. As a result, not only will we get to know the different culture and practices practiced in different countries by various groups of people, but also help "market" ourselves to others throught the web.

2. Political figures have realised the power of social networking sites, such as Facebook and Twitter. Politicians, such as Barrack Obama and Hilary Clinton, have decided to use these communicative tools to widen their support, not only locally but internationally too, as these social sites are able to connect people around the world.

Although the web has brought to us much convenience and benefits, let us not forget that everything has its disadvantages too, including the web.

3. Criminals have used the web to commit crimes, known as cybercrimes. The web has the ability to connect everyone around the world, therefore criminals have seen this as an opportunity to wreak havoc. The spreading of malicious computer viruses and online fraud cases are some cybercrimes that have been on the rise since the introduction of the internet.

Since its invention, the wed had definatly made many impacts on our daily lives. But for better or for worse, that is the question.

Firstly, the Web has changed the way we communicate with each other. Although the internet has allowed us to communicate with people on the other side of the world in an instant, it also weakened our social ties with friends around us.

http://www.helium.com/items/648679-study-questions-social-effects-of-internet-communication

Secondly, the internet also affects the human behaviour and the way we interact with each other in real life. This, in turn, will affect the society as a whole.

http://searchengineland.com/the-impact-of-the-internet-on-human-behavior-20921

Lastly, the way we seek for healthcare is also changed drastically by the wed. Now, people tend to go onto the web and search for cures or solutions to some of the minor health problems, instead of going to the doctor for professional help.

It identifies the problem that media tends to write what people wants to read rather than what's happening and why it's happening.Hence, leading to creation and permeation of educational stereotypes. Media is seen to identify problems of education rather than writing about inspirational stories from education. Thus, worsening the stereotypes towards education and compound on education problems.

social networking sites are considered as the most efficient tool in broadcasting political issue to the population. Politicans standing for election have made use of social networking sites, like Facebook, youtube, twitter or even myspace to gain support. The current president of the united states, Barrack hussein Obama, used these sites to widen his support, not just within the united states but all over the world , as these social sites are accessible by people all over the world and thus can connect people living in different countries. link: http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/uk_news/politics/8459624.stm

the internet is now an important tool for education. Since it has now become easier to create interactive websites, chat rooms, etc students can consult their professors easily through the internet. The impact of the web has definitely changed the lives of the society in many aspects, positively as well as negatively.

For example, the internet has affected the education system for learning language, in India. Pupils can now do online communication excercises and listen to audio files found on the net relating to their general topics and world issues.

Evidence:http://www.tesl-ej.org/wordpress/issues/volume12/ej47/ej47int/

The web has its own disadvantages. For example, it can even cause environmental damage on the world. Recent studies have shown that a simple google search can result in 1-10 grams of carbon dioxide emissions because of the electricity usage, and there are tons of it in a day.

Evidence:http://www.treehugger.com/files/2009/05/what-is-the-environmental-impact-of-the-internet.php

The Internet is the means through which people get to know each other. It also brings with it access to other things in the world, namely pornography and sexually explicit material. Thus it affects marriage and family relationships as it drives you apart from your loved ones rather than becoming closer to each other.

Courts have not escaped the onslaught of media coverage and media scrutiny. This also questions the limit of access media has on courtrooms and how peoples‘ views on media’s coverage vary.

2)http://www.opendemocracy.net/media-india_pakistan/article_16.jsp

This talks about limiting access to various sources of media due to mainly religious reasons. Thus telling us how media can affect religious views as well.

3)http://www.media-awareness.ca/english/issues/violence/effects_media_violence.cfm

This talks about how a person when exposed to media violence gets very insensitive and increases level of aggression which may lead to becoming a murderer as well.
